Regardless of where you need storage in the home, and no matter what you plan to store, SKÅDIS storage series can help. Use SKÅDIS in the bathroom for toothbrushes and jewellery. In the kitchen to have utensils and spices close at hand. Or in the garage so you keep all tools and screws in order. Only your imagination sets the limits of what SKÅDIS can be used for.
We have made some suggestions for how SKÅDIS can look. Choose your favourite or get inspired and create your own solution.
You can create your own SKÅDIS combination. First select the size of the pegboard and then complete with the accessories you need. Don’t worry if you change your mind – the accessories are just as easy to remove and replace as they are to attach. When your storage needs change, you can easily add, move or remove accessories so that SKÅDIS always meets your needs.
Depending on where and how you intend to use your SKÅDIS, you can choose to attach it in three different ways.
Use the wall rail that is included when you buy SKÅDIS pegboard. Remember to buy screws to secure the rail to the wall. Select screws suitable for the wall you plan to attach SKÅDIS to.
If you don’t want screws in your walls, you can attach SKÅDIS to a desk. You can also attach it on a shelf so that it stands up or hangs down. Regardless what you choose, you can use SKÅDIS connector.
You can also attach your SKÅDIS in ALGOT storage system. All you need is SKÅDIS connector for ALGOT.
Fibreboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fibreboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.

Meet the first family of our TV project "HOME IDEA with IKEA". In a small one-room apartment, there are four of them: father Aistis, mother Rima, their son Elijus and their pet Ruku. Look how IKEA interior designer Eimantė Nemanė helped them renew their 24-hour living room.
Although we usually invite guests to the living room, this time let us welcome you to the garage. Meet another team of our TV project "HOME IDEA with IKEA": our hero Stasys who spends a lot of time in his garage, and IKEA interior designer Mantvydas Breivė who has been also invited for a short stay there.
While students are slowly starting or returning to their student life, we share some useful tips on how to turn a temporary apartment into place that really feels like home.
It is hard to imagine Christmas without a Christmas tree, isn't it? But every year, we face ourselves with the same dilemma. Which one to choose: real or artificial? If it is difficult to decide, there is one more option for you. Be original and choose one of the alternative trees to decorate your home a bit different than the last year.

This week, we invite you to visit a vivid Dirmantai family in Vilnius. The family of five lives in a five-room apartment, and each of the brothers has a separate room. Unfortunately, during the renovation of their apartment, the room of the eldest brother remained untouched. The twelfth-grader Andrius is a very active young man who makes a video blog about fishing and has many other hobbies. Could he fit them all into a small room? IKEA interior designer Asta helped Andrius to find the answer.
Meet Justė (15 years old) and Jokūbas (17 years old), the siblings who share one room and have a hard time to find enough space for their two very different growing personalities. Justė loves dancing and gardening, Jokūbas enjoys skateboarding and building the boards himself. They both have many hobby-related items and, unfortunately, too little space to accommodate them all. Therefore, the parents of the teenagers asked our interior designer Dovilė for help. Check the result and browse the IKEA digital catalogue for even more ideas and practical tips.
We believe that home is the most important place in the world. This is why every year IKEA conducts a global research called “Life at home”. The research aims to find out how people live at home and understand what makes their life at home better.
Among all new activities we started using our homes for lately, our personal hobbies had to be fitted inside as well. The research shows that 38% of people in Lithuania now would like to create or improve a space at home, where they could pursue their personal interests. This is why our interior designer is here to share some ideas on how to set up one without significant cost and effort.
Be our guest at the Kaunas city social service centre. Here, together with our interior designer Ūla and other IKEA co-workers, we continue to create a cosy temporary home for the families who yet don't feel safe at their own home. At the second stage of our makeovers, we have renovated three more family rooms, a space for leisure and a shared kitchen.
“I want to furnish my home sustainably, but I don’t have much money. How do I do it?” There is this idea that living more sustainably is expensive, but it absolutely does not have to be. You can furnish your home to be a beautiful, warm and colourful place in a way that is good for the planet but good for your wallet too. We chatted to interior designer Chiara Effroi Lutteri about how she created a home that’s just that: poppy, practical and filled with lower-impact choices – all on a shoestring budget.
This week, we are guests of Kamilė and Gabija, two little sisters sharing one room. As the girls grew, their small room became too cramped, thus their older brother agreed to swap and leave his bigger room for the sisters. See how interior designer Gabrielė managed to turn a former teenage space into a room for two amazing girls.
“My partner and I are moving into a new apartment, and we want to set it up to work with our lifestyle and schedule.” Creating a home that moves to your beat makes all the difference to daily life. We spoke to an IKEA interior designer and gathered some ideas on how to plan a home to run smoothly and simply.
We want to constantly inspire you to have a better everyday life. This is why we update the first five rooms in our store's Showroom at least once a year. Most recently, our interior designer Mantvydas has renovated this living room connected to the kitchen.
A compact apartment designed with a child’s needs in mind, means kids quickly find independence in important ways. Wherever possible, things are kept within reach so that it’s easy to play, create, or help with chores when the mood strikes – solo or together.
