The entrance area is the first and the last space we see in our home – it greets us as we enter and says goodbye when we leave. A harmonious interior helps to relax when stepping into home, but how can the entrance area contribute to the overall sustainability in your home? It is a great not only for storage but also for waste sorting systems. With several containers, you can create your own individual sorting system depending on the sorting rules in your country. A smart idea for homes with small kitchen and for more motivation to remember to bring the waste out!

This week, we invite you to visit Justina, a single mother who shares a two-room social apartment with her five children. She gave one room to the boys and settled herself with two daughters Rugilė and Beata in another room, the more spacious one. The latter got into makeovers by our interior designer Rūta.
This week, “Home idea with IKEA” has a very special surprise. And we have not created it all alone: the three sisters decided to surprise their beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Vilė by starting a makeover in her kitchen, which has not been renovated for almost forever and a day. Our interior designer Ilona was more than happy to help.
Few things make a bedroom come alive like the freshness of green. Bedroom plants – real and artificial – with matching bed linen and details like floral glassware and other decorations are a wonderful way to spruce things up.
The autumn in the Vilnius store begins with another new setup. Our interior designer Alantė has furnished a studio bedroom for a young couple. She’s 25 and cannot imagine her life without music. This week we have visited the Katinai family – Andrius, Viktorija and their twin boys. We have met in the living room, but in their home, this room is not just for welcoming guests. It’s where the family spends their free time and keeps a lot of things, and while the children are playing there, Andrius and Viktorija are trying to concentrate on their work and creativity. To make sure the living room provides enough space for everyone and everything, the family asked our interior designer Anželika for help and ideas.
This week we are visiting the office of The Lithuanian Human Rights Centre. Its employees deal with important issues on a daily basis and know how to create positive change in society, but when it comes to change in their own office, they have more questions than answers. Fortunately, our interior designer Rūta can help.
