We played a lot with the ability of colours to transform objects and mixed bright, saturated shades with more muted ones and then applied them to different materials. A colour needs company, and it’s only by interacting with users, objects and other colours that it comes into its own. We hope the collection adds a positive feel and colour to people's lives and homes."
“The design of TESAMMANS storage unit is a combination of vibrant colours and an interplay with perforated patterns where the different graphic lines reveal or hide the contents. Depending on the angle, colours and shadows change in different ways when they interact with each other. The different heights of shelves and openings suit most things – and thanks to the castors, you can easily roll the piece of furniture from room to room.”
An interplay of colours and shapes
When creating the TESAMMANS collection, we collaborated with the colour experts and design duo Raw Color which comprises of designers Daniera ter Haar and Christoph Brach. Together we explored the emotional aspects of colour and how colour interactions can be created in a myriad of materials and functions. The result is a colourful collection that goes beyond the expected and elevates simple shapes through playful and sophisticated colour combinations.
