Style your office in a flash: solutions and inspiration
We spend more time at work than we do at home so it’s important that where we work feels inspiring and inviting. Here are some easy tips for creating the right ambiance.
Living room office
Starting a new business doesn't necessarily mean you have to rent expensive premises. Set up an office right in your own living room. Replace a coffee table with a SKARSTA sit/stand desk and the TV bench with a whole wall of shelves in different sizes. Then, you will have plenty of room for both your personal stuff and office supplies. In fact, the home office is even more comfortable to work in - when you get tired of sitting on your swivel chair, you can head on the couch with a BYLLAN laptop support or adjust the height of the desk to continue working while standing. After all, you are the boss here.
Separately together
You can set up a private office behind a glass wall. The common space won't look smaller and you'll have your own corner for private phone calls or meetings. And don't forget to add an ergonomic chair - our JÄRVFJÄLLET office chair with armrests and a super comfy backrest is perfect for both working and resting.
Black and white
Do you have a common space for two? Divide the area into two smaller offices by using two different colours, like black and white. To unify the interior, choose furniture in the same series, such as BEKANT desks, shelving units or file cabinets in classic colours.
Dividing different areas
When you have an open office for both working and having breaks, use furniture to separate the areas. You can use BEKANT shelving units as a partition - thy have the same finish on the back and look good from all sides. Besides, you can attach magnets to the metal surface and use it as a pin board.
The lower GALANT file cabinets can also serve for partitions, especially if you add some lamps or a roller blind above them. The latter can be used as a projector screen.
The key to working well
If you’re thinking of redesigning your workplace, ask yourself which tasks you’ll be completing every day. Creative agencies require different solutions than law firms or restaurant administrations. However, there is one versatile rule: an attractive workspace, including design, colour and furniture choices, can help increase your wellbeing and inspire great work.
