What’s new in the IKEA Showroom: space for rest and interests image 1
The autumn in the Vilnius store begins with another new setup. Our interior designer Alantė has furnished a studio bedroom for a young couple. She’s 25 and cannot imagine her life without music. He is a bit older, recently graduated from veterinary school and still interested in everything related to animals and nature. And this is their home. Have a look!

Bold, impressive, affordable

A young couple’s budget is often limited, thus when creating this interior, Alante looked for solutions at an affordable price. This way she has settled with the ASKVOLL bed frame and curtained wall shelves instead of a regular wardrobe. With low-cost pieces of furniture in the room, more attention has been paid to the details, such as textiles in eye-catching colours that make even a budget-friendly home unique.

A wardrobe for work

In a small home, the same space can have more than one purpose. Here, a double role was assigned to the storage wall that serves for both a wardrobe and a work spot. It’s a combination of BOAXEL shelves, MULIG clothes bars, and a VIGRESTAD chest of drawers. A pair of bright HILLEBORG curtains helps the couple hide not only their clothes, everyday items and books, but also a desk.

Putting hobbies on display

MOSSLANDA picture ledges offer a great place to store and display vinyl records, and there’s certainly no shortage of them in this house. The interior designer put most of the vinyls on display and placed the ones that did not fit on the wall into the KALLAX shelves, which have just the right dimensions.
