What guarantee is provided?
The extent of the guarentee given for each product is described alongside each product.

Duration of guarantee
Each warranty lasts for the number of years stated on each product, starting from the day of purchase.

What will IKEA do to correct the problem? 
IKEA will examine the product and decide if it’s covered under this guarantee. IKEA will then, at its choice, either repair the defective product or replace it with the same or a comparable product. In these cases, IKEA will be responsible for the costs of repairs, spare parts, labour and travel for repair staff that IKEA incurs, provided that the product is accessible for repair without IKEA incurring additional expenditure to gain access. This will not apply in cases where repair work has not been authorized by IKEA. Any defected parts removed in the course of repair works will become the property of IKEA. If the item is no longer sold by IKEA, IKEA will provide an appropriate replacement. IKEA will decide at its discretion, what will constitute an appropriate replacement.

Conditions for the guarantees
The guarantees are valid from the date of purchase at IKEA. The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase.

Exclusions
The guarantees do not apply to products that have been stored or assembled incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered, or cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or wrong cleaning products. The guarantees do not cover normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, or damage caused by impacts or accidents. The guarantees do not apply if products have been placed outdoors or in a humid environment or if the products have been used for non-domestic purposes (unless it is authorized under the specifications of the product). The guarantee do not apply to: plants, bulbs, batteries, textile, custom-made table tops and products from the half clearance department. General legal rights
This guarantee gives you specific legal rights. This guarantee does not, in any way, affect your customer‘s rights given to you by law.

General conditions

Who is the provider of commercial guarantee?
The commercial guarantee is provided by the Seller - IKEA Lithuania - “UAB Felit”, a company established and operating in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, legal entity code: 302491412, registered office address: Vikingų str. 1, LT-02182 Vilnius, e-mail address: info@ikea.lt, contact phone number: +370 5 250 00 55.

What commercial guarantee is provided and under what conditions?
The commercial guarantee is valid in the territory of Lithuania and can be provided upon purchase of goods in physical or on-line IKEA Lithuania stores. Each product shall be accompanied by information as regards the commercial guarantee provided. Special conditions of the commercial guarantee are indicated for each specific product covered by the commercial guarantee.

How long is the commercial guarantee valid?
Each commercial guarantee lasts for the number of years stated in the product details attached to each product, starting from the day of purchase.

What will IKEA do to correct the problem?
In order to use the commercial guarantee the Buyer should contact the Seller by phone or by e-mail (tel.: +370 5 250 00 55; e-mail: info@IKEA.lt) and agree on the conditions of delivery (return) of defective goods to the Seller. The Buyer can also return defective goods to the Return and Replacement Department. As regards the guarantee for household appliances, the Buyer should contact a particular guarantee service provider as authorised by IKEA. All contacts and descriptions are provided on IKEA website and also physically attached to each product.

Upon receipt of the product, IKEA will examine the product and decide, at its sole discretion, if it is covered under the commercial guarantee. If considered covered, IKEA will then either repair the defective product or replace it with the same or a comparable product. If a product is covered by a commercial guarantee, IKEA shall pay the costs of repairs, spare parts, labour and travel for repair staff, provided that the product is accessible for repair without special expenditure. This does not apply to any repair work not authorised by IKEA. All the replaced defective parts become the property of IKEA. If the product is no longer sold by IKEA, it will be replaced by a similar product. IKEA will provide an appropriate replacement at its sole discretion.


When does the commercial guarantee take effect?
The commercial guarantee takes effect from the date of purchase of the product in IKEA. The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase.

Exclusions
The commercial guarantee does not apply to products that have been stored or assembled incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered, or cleaned using wrong cleaning methods or wrong cleaning products. Natural wear and tear of the product or change in its properties is not considered a defect in quality, therefore it is not covered by the commercial guarantee, as well as any accidental breakage, scratches, etc. The commercial guarantee does not apply for products stored outdoors or in a humid environment or used for non-domestic purposes (unless permitted by the product specification). Also, the commercial guarantee does not apply to such product as plants, light bulbs, batteries, fabrics, custom-made worktops, and products from the Discounted Goods Department. The commercial guarantee does not cover consequential or incidental damages. Care instructions
To be able to use the commercial guarantee the Buyer must to follow the specific care instructions for every product.

General legal rights
The commercial guarantee entitles the Buyer to ask the Seller to repair the defects of the product free of charge or to replace the defective product with another product during the guarantee period. These additional rights do not in any way limit the Buyer’s rights guaranteed by law, including the Buyer’s rights in the event of purchase of a defective product or service.

Please contact your local IKEA store or reach us via internet. Save your purchase receipt as proof of purchase. Proof of purchase is required for the guarantees to be valid. As regards household appliances, please contact the indicated guarantee service provider.

What is covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee applies to domestic use only and covers defects in materials and workmanship in the following furniture:

What is not covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee does not apply to products that have been stored, assembled or installed incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered or cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or cleaning products. This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, cuts, scratches or damage caused by impacts or accidents. This guarantee does not apply if the products have been used for public purposes, outdoors or in a corrosive environment. This guarantee does not cover consequential or incidental damages.
Bathroom wash-basins

What is covered under this guarantee?
10-year guarantee is valid for all bathroom wash-basins in IKEA range. The guarantee for bathroom wash-basins applies to domestic use only and covers defects in materials and workmanship.

 
Bathroom mixer taps, showers and shower trays

What is covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee is valid for all bathroom mixer taps, BROGRUND and VALLAMOSSE thermostatic shower mixers, and FOTINGEN shower trays.


What is not covered under this guarantee?
The aerator of the mixer tap is a consumable part, therefore, it is not covered under this guarantee. When worn out, it should be replaced with a new aerator.
Bathrooms showers and hoses

What is covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee is valid for all BROGRUND, VALLAMOSSE, VOXNAN, KOLSJÖN, and LILLREVET shower heads, hand showers, riser rails and hoses.

Bedroom

Mattresses

What is covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship in the following components of the mattresses and/or bed bases:
  • polyurethane foam core in foam mattresses,
  • wooden frame, slats, and springs in bed bases.
The guarantee is valid from the date of purchase of the product at IKEA. The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase. This guarantee applies on condition that the product is used for domestic purposes only.

What is not covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee does not apply to any mattress pads, sofa-bed mattresses, and children’s mattresses.
PAX/KOMPLEMENT wardrobes and interior organisers

What is covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship in the following components of the PAX/KOMPLEMENT wardrobes and interior organisers used for domestic purposes only:
  • frames,
  • hinged doors and hinges,
  • dividers for frames and built-in shelves,
  • sliding doors and sliding door mechanisms,
  • KOMPLEMENT interior organisers.
What is not covered under this guarantee?
KOMPLEMENT inserts for jewellery, KOMPLEMENT insert with 4 compartments, KOMPLEMENT inserts with compartments, KOMPLEMENT dividers for pull-out trays, KOMPLEMENT boxes, KOMPLEMENT drawer mats, KOMPLEMENT pull-out mirrors and hangers.

This guarantee applies to products used for domestic purposes only.

Kitchen

METOD kitchen system

What is covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee applies to kitchen furniture used for domestic purposes only. It covers the following parts of the METOD kitchen system:
  • cabinet frames (except for VADHOLMA and TORNVIKEN),
  • fronts,
  • UTRUSTA hinges,
  • MAXIMERA and EXCEPTIONELL fully-extending drawers,
  • UTRUSTA shelves of tempered glass and melamine,
  • plinths,
  • legs,
  • cover panels,
  • deco strips/mouldings,
  • sinks (except FYNDIG sinks),
  • UTRUSTA dish drainers for wall cabinets.
What is not covered under this guarantee?
The guarantee does not cover UTRUSTA wire baskets, VADHOLMA and TORNVIKEN cabinet frames, ENHET kitchen system.

For UTRUSTA electrical push openers, the guarantee is valid for five (5) years. For handles, knobs, BEHJÄLPLIG dishwasher hinges, KNOXHULT kitchen system and SUNNERSTA mini-kitchen with a sink, a guarantee is valid for two (2) years.
Appliances

What is covered under this guarantee?
The guarantee covers faults of the appliance, which have been caused by faulty construction or material faults from the date of purchase of the product at IKEA. This guarantee applies to products used for domestic purposes only. The exceptions are specified under the headline “What is not covered under this guarantee?” These conditions are additional to the requirements provided in the national law. Replaced parts become the property of IKEA.


Which appliances are covered under this guarantee?
The 5-year guarantee is valid for all IKEA appliances, except for LAGAN and TILLREDA appliances, which have a 2-year guarantee.

How long is this guarantee valid?
The guarantee is valid five (5) years from the date of purchase of the product at IKEA. LAGAN and TILLREDA appliances have a 2-year guarantee from the date of purchase. If service work is carried out under the guarantee, this will not extend the guarantee period for the appliance or the new parts.

Who will execute the service?
The IKEA service provider will provide the service through its own service operations or authorised service partner network.

What is not covered under this guarantee?
  • normal wear and tear,
  • deliberate or negligent damage, damage caused by failure to observe operating instructions, incorrect installation or by connection to the wrong voltage, damage caused by chemical or electro-chemical reaction, rust, corrosion or water damage including but not limited to damage caused by excessive lime in the water supply, damage caused by abnormal environmental conditions,
  • consumable parts, including batteries and lamps,
  • non-functional and decorative parts which do not affect normal use of the appliance, including any scratches and possible changes in colour,
  • accidental damage caused by foreign objects or substances and cleaning
    or unblocking of filters, drainage systems or soap drawers,
  • cases where the damage is caused by reasons beyond the control of the manufacturer (changes in supply voltage, fluctuations in its frequency, exposure to natural phenomena and natural disasters, animals, insects, etc., use of poor quality water, use of wrong chemical or other substances),
  • damage to the following parts: ceramic glass, accessories, crockery and cutlery baskets, feed and drainage pipes, seals, lamps and lamp covers, screens, knobs, casings and parts of casings, unless such damage can be proved to be caused by production faults,
  • cases where no fault could be found during a technician’s visit,
  • repairs not carried out by our appointed service providers and/or an authorised service contractual partner or where non-original parts have been used,
  • damage caused by improper installation, installation of household appliances not performed in accordance with the specifications, etc.,
  • appliance installed in a non-domestic environment, e.g. used for professional purposes,
  • transportation damage. If the Buyer transports the product to their home or other address him/herself, IKEA is not liable for any damage that may occur during transport. In the case of IKEA delivery of the product to the Buyer’s address, eventual damage to the product that occurs during this delivery will be covered by IKEA (but not under this guarantee). For claims under this last particular condition, the Buyer should contact IKEA Customer Service,
  • cost for carrying out the initial installation of the IKEA appliance. These restrictions do not apply to work carried out by a qualified specialist using our original parts in order to adapt the appliance to the technical safety specifications of another EU country.
Kitchen mixer taps

What is covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee is valid for all kitchen mixer taps at IKEA and covers defects in their materials and workmanship. The guarantee applies to products used for domestic purposes only.

What is not covered under this guarantee?
The guarantee does not apply for the products that have been used in a corrosive environment.

What is covered under this guarantee?
The guarantee covers:
  • VIMLE seating series,
  • EKTORP seating series,
  • SÖDERHAMN seating series,

What is covered under this guarantee?

The guarantee covers defects in material and workmanship on the following parts of the work chair:
  • the structural frame,
  • moving parts.
Moving parts are components with moving functions or adjustable functions. The guarantee covers the intended function for the components of the castors, gas cylinder, mechanism, armrest and back rest adjustment mechanism.

How long is this guarantee valid?
The guarantee remains in force for ten (10) years and is valid from the date of purchase. It applies to VOLMAR, MARKUS, LÅNGFJÄLL, HATTEFJÅLL, ALEFJÅLL, JÅRFJÅLLET, TROLLBERGET, FLINTAN, and FJÅLLBERGET work chairs. The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase.
BEKANT and IDÄSEN desk series, GALANT and IDÄSEN storage systems

What is covered under this guarantee?
The guarantee covers defects in materials, workmanship and function on all parts in the GALANT, BEKANT, and IDÅSEN series. It is valid from the date of purchase of the product at IKEA.

What is not covered under this guarantee?
The guarantee does not cover:
  • BEKANT desk top shelf,
  • BEKANT screens.
How long is this guarantee valid?
The guarantee for BEKANT and IDÄSEN desk series, as well as GALANT and IDÄSEN storage system is valid for ten (10) years from the date of purchase at IKEA. The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase.
Secondary storage
BROR storage system

What is covered under this guarantee?
The guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship on all parts in the BROR storage system.

What is not covered under this guarantee?
The guarantee does not cover:
• BROR trolley,
• BROR work bench.

This guarantee does not apply to products that have been stored, assembled or installed incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered or cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or cleaning products. This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, cuts, scratches or damage caused by impacts or accidents.

How long is this guarantee valid?
The guarantee for BROR storage system is valid for ten (10) years from the date of purchase at IKEA. The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase.
 
What's included in the kitchen price?
The price provided together with the kitchen design is the total price of the entire kitchen furniture combination. It includes the following: kitchen cabinets, cabinet/drawer fronts, worktops, interior fittings, hinges, plinths/decorative plinths, legs, knobs/handles, kitchen taps, and sinks. It does not include the following: household appliances and lighting (sold separately). Please note: MAXIMERA drawers come with integrated soft-closing mechanisms, EXCEPTIONELL drawers come with push-to-open mechanisms.
